Trust Book Club Relaunches with Goal of 60k Members

Free books available to all Miami-Dade children from birth to their 5th birthday

A free book for every Miami-Dade child from birth to their 5th birthday. Every month. Arriving in the mail. And with reading guides and activities that help parents enjoy reading with their children. That is what The Children’s Trust Book Club offers parents as a way to build their literacy skills in a fun and engaging way.

Starting in 2015, the Book Club was expanded in 2020, and late last year registration opened up fully again - after a pause because of high demand. The goal is to register 60,000 Miami-Dade children. Currently, there are over 42,000 and over 1.6 million books have been distributed since 2020.

The Book Club books help children develop their early reading skills for school readiness and, of course, for maximum enjoyment with their families! "We're thrilled to present the revitalized Children's Trust Book Club, marking a key milestone in our broader efforts to equip every child with the readiness for a successful start to kindergarten," said The Children's Trust President and CEO James R. Haj. "Our steadfast dedication to early literacy underscores our ongoing commitment to preparing all children within Miami-Dade County for educational success."
