General
- How big is TCT's IT department, and what roles are covered in-house?
- The Trust’s IT department comprises the following: A chief information officer, an IT director, a senior data architect, an IT manager and a data scientist.
- Will Children's Trust consider a solution that is open-source, such as Acquia Cloud? The Acquia platform is highly secure and works with numerous clients at the enterprise and larger level that are security-conscious.
- The Trust is looking for a non-open-source software solution to meet the requirements of this RFQ.
- What is the nature of the Bid Review meeting?
- The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for Trust staff to review the bid that will be submitted by applicants, ask any pending questions and/or discuss any pending issues.
- Is The Trust willing to work with partners outside Miami-Dade?
- Yes, the Trust has been working 100% remotely and we already work with several of our current vendors virtually.
- Who will be doing the build out and sourcing assets? Photography?
- Assets will be produced by the creative agency, third parties, by the selected vendor and some are already in-house. We will work as a team using the agile methodology.
- Will the User Experience Analysis be made available?
- Yes, that will be made available to the selected applicant.
- You’re looking to award on technical qualifications first with pricing to follow after selection? Or are you looking for a budgetary number to provide the Children’s Trust with a technical response? If the latter, do you have a format in which you’d like to receive it?
- We are looking for a team with technical qualifications and the ability to work with The Trust. We’re looking for vendors that have experience of working with a small organization and can truly partner with The Trust and provide recommendations. Based on that, The Trust will ask to price out their recommendation. If the applicant has an idea or a vision on how to achieve three websites tightly integrated so that the end users do not realize that they’re going to different sites, have an optimal user experience, and address other technical things listed in the RFQ, and they have an estimate of what it would cost grouped into phases, these can be submitted when describing their technical expertise and describing their recommendation for how The Trust should move forward based on the requirements in this RFQ.
- Is there an expectation of migrating the existing Drupal content to the new CMS platform, and, if so, are there any details available regarding this?
- Yes, there is content that will need to be migrated from two existing websites: The new thechildrenstrust.org website (currently in Drupal), as well as the new parent portal (currently in WordPress) mentioned in the RFQ. The exact content to be migrated from the two sites combined has not been determined but it is estimated at around 400 articles/pages.
- Should the Reference letters include any specific information?
- The Reference Letter section has been updated to reflect the requirements outlined in the rating guidelines for easier reference.
- What third-party platforms are currently part of your digital landscape?
- Current platforms used are Drupal (thechildrenstrust.org), WordPress (StayHome.Miami) and WebAuthor (TrustCentral.org)
- The RFQ references compliance with accessibility requirements. Are you seeking a website that is WCAG 2.0 AA, WCAG 2.1 AA, 508 Compliant, etc.?
- As a government entity, we are looking to develop our web presence to be Section 508 compliant.
- How many monthly sessions and monthly pageviews are received across the three websites?
- Traffic to our websites vary depending on marketing efforts or funding opportunities available. On average, there may be about 450,000 monthly pageviews on all websites combined, but the proposed hosting solution should be scalable and include requisite failover back-up servers with load balancers. The failover back-up servers must also be hosted in the continental United States.
- Who will be responsible for developing wireframes and shaping the user experience for the new website? The creative agency or the development agency?
- The creative agency will provide the design and overall look & feel and the development firm will be responsible for developing the wireframes and shaping the user experience, with input from Trust staff and the creative agency.
- What department and/ or person will be in charge of supervising this project within The Children’s Trust?
- Development of the new website will be supervised by the IT Department (for technical aspects) and Communications department (for design, content and usability).
- As mentioned in the RFQ, the proposed new web platform should be integrated with Trust Central. Is there an API and respective documentation for this integration? If so, will we be able to have access to this documentation, and what phase is this API currently in?
- Trust Central was built on the WebAuthor platform. Its API is flexible and robust and can be customized to suit requirements for the development of the Trust’s new web presence. The selected applicant will be in direct contact with the WebAuthor team to ensure a proper secure integration.
